Invitation

The 15th ASIM Dedicated Conference on Simulation in Production and Logistics at the Heinz Nixdorf Institute of the University of Paderborn highlights the role of simulation as an instrument for decision support from planning, ramp-up as well as operation of complex production and logistics systems. While simulation is firmly established as a tool for planning in many companies, it can also provide important impulses for a continuously improvement during ramp-up and operation. Many new application areas and research topics present themselves, from issues such as persistent modeling to the technical integration as a decision support tool.

The ASIM Dedicated Conference is well balanced between research, development and industrial use. Scientific innovation and successful application in every day's business are discussed similarly. Participants without simulation experience gain new insights into the possibilities and constraints of simulation. Experienced simulation users find a forum for knowledge exchange at the ASIM Dedicated Conference and are presented with innovations.

We are looking forward to welcoming you in Paderborn.
